In a landscape carved out in the last Ice Age over 12,000 years ago, the Becky Falls waterfall sits at the heart of the park in a stunning boulder strewn valley. The waterfall itself is 70ft high and over 35ft wide in parts where the Becka Brook runs between the huge granite boulders and onward down the Bovey valley. Although the main falls are spectacular there are many smaller falls along the length of the brook for you to enjoy. Our waterfall is entirely natural and is especially stunning after recent rain fall.

Becky Falls is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)
A SSSI is a formal conservation designation. Becky Falls is an area that’s of particular interest to science due to the rare species of fauna and flora it contains. It is home to important geological and physiological features that may lie in its boundaries.
Becky Falls contains important habitats such as it's waterways and woodland. We are proud have both Ancient Woodland and Ancient Trees. Becky Falls as an SSSI has been declared to have high conservation value, and this needs to be protected. Hence dogs must be on leads and we ask visitors to stay on the designated paths.
Take time to explore over 50 acres of woodland and streams which are rich in wildlife. There are three trails to enjoy. The Blue Trail is a gentler walk through the ancient oak woodland and is where you'll find our Children's Nature Challenge. The Red Trail is where you will discover our stunning waterfall and its dramatic 70ft cascade at the heart of the park. Why not have a go at our notoriously fun boulder scramble and if you enjoy that, carry on to the Purple Trail for views of the beautiful lower falls on more rugged terrain.
We have a licensed cafe serving a selection of burgers, panini's and pasties. Including gluten free and vegan options.
We also have a lovely gift shop and toilet facilities.
Come and meet the animals from goats and ponies to snakes and invertebrates.
Our knowledgable keepers hold Meet-the-Keeper talks every hour from 11am-4pm. These vary daily so check the 'What's On' board when you arrive for the days events. These talks are a great opportunity to learn about our animals from the people who care for them. Watch the animals being fed or enjoying their favourite activities.
Find the Nature Trail Challenge signs on your way around the Blue Trail. Families of all ages have great fun discussing the questions on their way to the next board where you'll find the answers. There's also a little activity to complete to earn your FREE PRIZE!
Ample free parking including larger spaces for camper vans and busses.
We are very dog friendly here at Becky Falls. Dogs are allowed everywhere except inside the Animal Discovery Zone.
Please note that we operate a strict ‘dogs on leads’ rule for theirs, our animals, and the wildlife’s safety.
Get even more out of your visit by purchasing an Activity Pack from the gift shop. The packs are just £2.99 and contain lots of fun and educational activities including spotter guides.
We are very proud to be members of Devon's Top Attractions and the British and Irish Association of Zoo's and Aquariums (BIAZA). This means we are held to very standards with regard to animal and care and customer service and receive regular inspections.
